Bio

At the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), I had the privilege of studying under the legendary Mani Kaul, renowned for his avant-garde approach to cinematic storytelling.

My filmography spans a diverse range of critically acclaimed documentaries and feature films. Aedan – The Garden of Desire (2018) received the Rajathachakoram Award for Best Debut Director and the FIPRESCI Award for Best Malayalam Film at the 22nd International Film Festival of Kerala, along with four Kerala State Film Awards. Kapila (2015) won the 62nd National Award for Best Documentary and earned special mentions at Visions du Réel and IDSFFK. My second feature film is currently in post-production.

Earlier works such as Kandal Pokkudan (2003), Expressway (2004), and Scribbles on the City (2005) were selected for international film festivals. Theeram (2007) was officially screened at festivals in Jordan, Ireland, Pakistan, and India.

In addition to filmmaking, I have taught Film Direction and Screenwriting at the KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, mentoring students as they discover and refine their creative voices.

I am thrilled to work with the next generation of filmmakers at ASOMSAFT, fostering creativity and innovation in this vibrant environment.
