Vinod Sivaram
Course Director, Ahalia School of Media Studies & Future Technologies
Bio
With over three decades of dedicated expertise in Audiography and Sound Design in South Indian cinema, I have mixed and designed more than 700 feature films.
At Lal Media, Cochin, I pioneered Kerala’s first state-of-the-art post-production sound facility, enabling Malayalam film industry to make a seamless shift to homegrown studios.
I played a key role in the digital transformation of film distribution through my work with Qube Cinema in early 2000s and have also served at the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), a government body dedicated to promoting and supporting the growth of Kerala’s film industry with infrastructure, financial aid, and facilities like studios and theaters.
In addition to my practice, I have a strong commitment to film education. I previously served as Professor and Head of the Department of Audiography at the KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, Kottayam.
As the Course Director at ASOMSAFT, I am eager to guide the next generation of filmmakers, technologists, technicians, and visual artists in realizing their creative potential.
